Total newbie seeking help

December 27, 2013

Alright guys, I’d just like to start off by saying I know little to none about how the Wii operates, or anything of that sort. I followed a guide to softmod my Wii because I thought it would be pretty cool to be able to play games from one source (Hard drive), and up until now, I still have no idea what a cIOS is, or anything like that.

So, recently my friend let me borrow his hard drive so that I could try out some of his games, and I went ahead and used WBFS Manager and transfered a few games onto my own hard drive. These games being Mario Party 8, Super Smash Bros and The Force Unleashed 2.

When I try to open these games up, however, using my Hard Drive, it won’t open. If I use USB Loader GX, when the game starts up, it will go back to the Wii menu if I opened it from the channel, or it will go back to homebrew if I opened it from there. When I try to open it using Neogamma, it will say “No Disk (n)” (I have a disk in the disk slot). Yet, all the other games I have on my hard drive, such as Mario Kart and Wii Sports, still work fine. When I use my friend’s original hard drive though, it also works fine.

I think that there’s something off on my hard drive, yet I’m not sure how to fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated.
